High-tech umbrellas designed for a golfer’s needs
BRASELTON, GA – The American Junior Golf Association announced a three-year partnership with Weatherman Umbrella. Weatherman Umbrella was founded in 2017 with a mission of combining technology, engineering and a state-of-the-art design to create award-winning umbrellas.
Weatherman Umbrella is a supplier of the U.S. Ryder Cup Team Umbrellas and the Official Umbrella of the LPGA. Weatherman was also recognized in 2018 and 2019 with Golf Digest Editors’ Choice Award for Best Golf Umbrella.
“Partnering with the AJGA is a great opportunity for Weatherman Umbrella to interact with the next generation of college, LPGA and PGA Tour stars,” said Tyler Kupper, Weatherman Umbrella Chief Revenue Officer. “Our initiatives to grow the game while supporting these young people will make an impact on thousands of players worldwide.”
As the Official Umbrella Partner of the AJGA, Weatherman Umbrella will offer a discount of 10 percent available to all AJGA members and their families in the Player Center online using code: AJGA. Weatherman Umbrella also announced a special-edition AJGA x Weatherman Umbrella logo design available for purchase starting December 5.
In addition, Weatherman Umbrella will be highlighted as the weather delay sponsor for all AJGA events and will provide special product for the Junior Presidents Cup held December 8-9 in Melbourne, Australia.
Weatherman Umbrella’s on-site presence also includes the title sponsorship of the Weatherman Umbrella Preview Championship at Ocala Golf Club on April 3-5, 2020.
Weatherman Umbrella products are specifically created with golfer’s needs in mind for rain or shine with UPF 50+ barrier for sun protection, mesh pockets and a silicone-coated rib to hang a golf towel. Umbrellas are meant to endure extreme weather and are also equipped with Bluetooth tracking technology and an integrated Weatherman Umbrella app that sends alerts of weather conditions.
“We are very excited to add Weatherman Umbrella as the Official Umbrella Partner of the AJGA,” said AJGA Chief Business Officer Jason Etzen. “Weatherman Umbrella uses technology and innovation to create high-end products that we are proud to support and offer to our members.”
When one of the nation's most trusted meteorologists, Rick Reichmuth, was unable to find an umbrella that met his standards, he set out to design his own—and Weatherman was born.
Weatherman is the only umbrella on the market to blend unmatched quality with smart technology and ingenious design. The Weatherman app pairs with the Droplet Bluetooth tracker to detect the forecast, then reminds you when you need to take your umbrella along. The tracker also ensures you always know where to find your umbrella and alerts you when you may have left it behind.
Recognized by The Today Show, Fox News, Sports Illustrated, Lonely Planet and Forbes, among others, Weatherman was named Best Umbrella in Golf Digest’s Editors’ Choice Awards in 2018 and 2019, and proudly serves as the Official Umbrella of the LPGA Tour, as well as the umbrella supplier of the U.S. Ryder Cup team.
